5. DO WE USE COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES?
In Short: We use only strictly necessary and functional storage. We do not use analytics or advertising technologies.
We use a small number of technologies that store information in your browser:
- Security cookies set by Cloudflare (such as
__cf_bm), which protect this website against automated abuse. These are strictly necessary for the operation of the site. - A local storage entry recording your language preference (Arabic, English or Dutch), so the site opens in your chosen language on your next visit. This is a functional preference and contains no personal information.
We do not use analytics tools, advertising technologies, retargeting pixels, or third-party trackers, and we do not permit third parties to use tracking technologies on our Services for advertising purposes.
Most web browsers accept cookies by default. You can usually set your browser to remove or reject cookies. If you do so, certain features of this website may not function as intended.
6. IS YOUR INFORMATION TRANSFERRED INTERNATIONALLY?
In Short: Yes. Our service providers are located in the United States, and we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, and our contact-form email is delivered by Resend. Both are established in the United States, and your information may therefore be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States as well as in other countries where these providers operate infrastructure.
The United States may not have data protection laws as comprehensive as those in the European Economic Area. Where personal information is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which are included in our data processing agreements with these providers, together with the supplementary measures those providers apply.
7. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We keep your information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).
When we have no ongoing legitimate need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise it, or, if this is not possible (for example because it has been stored in backup archives), we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.
8. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through appropriate organisational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organisational security measures designed to protect the personal information we process. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the whole website, restricted access to the mailbox that receives contact-form messages, and storage of access credentials in a password manager protected by two-factor authentication.
However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk.
9. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In Short: We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age through this website.
We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age, nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. Our website is intended for a general audience; the foundation's in-person activities for young people are arranged separately with parents and guardians.
If we learn that personal information from a user under 18 years of age has been collected through this website, we will take reasonable measures to promptly delete it from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from a child under 18, please contact us at info@binaahiwar.nl.

Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature you can activate to signal your preference not to have your online browsing activities monitored. No uniform technology standard for recognising and implementing DNT signals has been finalised. We do not track your browsing activity in any case, so there is nothing for a DNT signal to disable.
